For the past few years we have used Spot Check Services (SCS) as our mystery shop provider and we are very happy with the partnership. We have noticed an improved level of customer service and standards at our locations and we believe this is largely due to the mystery shop program.

The Building Supply Industry Association(BSIA) has contracted the service Spot Check Services, Mystery Shopping for our Retail Members since 2008. It is one of the many services offered to our members as a benefit of membership. There is a certain set of guidelines followed by the shopper and once completed the scores are totaled. Copies of these results are mailed to each manager for his perusal and used as a measure as to their customer service. Our stores take the results very seriously and use the results to make improvements. The BSIA uses those results to present our Orion Awards, in each of four categories, at our Gala Evening associated with our annual trade show.

We have shops completed all over the province including, the lower mainland, interior, north, and the island. Spot Check Services reaches every store in the province. If a store is remote, they offer a telephone shop.

We are very pleased with the service as it can be tailored to your customers’ needs. We have over 190 shops completed each year. They are done in a timely manner and Spot Check Services and their front line staff of Dave Guy and Darcy Heisler, are very helpful, knowledgeable and approachable.
